Tuesday - 26th SeptemberToday we did the Rawnsley Bluff walk. This was a very serious walk for a couple of old codgers, over 13 kilometres or 6 hours return to climb the Rawnsley Bluff and visit the Wilpena Pound Lookout and the Bluff Lookout. About 2 kilometres was very steep climbing over rocks up the side of the cliff. We carried Tink in the backpack for the steep bits. The views were spectacular and as an added bonus we got excellent Optus GSM reception at the top and were able to make some phone calls. Dinner was a sausage sizzle on the excellent campfire behind our van.
