Wednesday - 25th JulyHighlight of today was the gallop through the scrub on the Cobb and Co coach. We picked up the coach at the back of the Station Store. It started off with a tour through the centre of Longreach, where I was required to blow the bugle to warn townsfolk of the approaching danger. The coach then trundled out into the countryside and looped through the town common; on the way back into town the coachman gave the horses their head and off they galloped. It was quite exciting, if somewhat bouncy. Back at the changing station we had a nice afternoon tea of scones with lashings of jam and cream while we listened to a bit of live country music. Later in the afternoon we visited the local craft and historical society exhibition in a building with an interesting pressed metal facade.
